Phishing E-mails for Username and Passwords
Internet fraudsters commonly send e-mails requesting usernames, passwords and other personal information. Representatives from GRU/Gator.Net will never e-mail customers requesting this information.
Do not be fooled by an e-mail address that looks like it came from Gator.Net. The "From" address in an e-mail is just like a return address on an envelope - anything can be written there at the time of mailing. As a general rule, never give out your username or password to anyone you do not trust.
Keep in mind, if you call the Gator.Net Help Desk for assistance, it may be necessary for technicians to ask you for your password information when they are helping you with as e-mail issue.
