E-mails not Received

If someone sent you an e-mail but you did not receive it, it is best to go back to the sender to determine where the problem has occurred. A properly running e-mail service will always notify the sender why an e-mail did not reach the recipient.

Similar to regular US postal mail, if someone sends you letter and there is a problem along the way, the sender will get the letter back with an explanation: "Improper Postage” or “No Address Exists." With e-mail, senders will get a message from their provider if a message is undeliverable. Common messages include “Recipient Mailbox Full” or “Recipient Address Not Found."
