Deleting Online E-mails Error

If you are having difficulty deleting your online e-mails and receive the error message “would exceed quota,” you are close to exceeding your mailbox size limit. This limit includes messages that are in your inbox, sent and other folders.

Solution

  1. Log into your Gator.Net e-mail account at http://webmail.gator.net
  2. Click on “Options” (just above “Folders”)
  3. Click on “Folder Preferences”
  4. Highlight the drop-down box called “Trash Folder” and select “Do Not Use Trash”
  5. Click the “Apply” button
  6. You will now be able to delete messages directly
